Oktoberfest in Chatham

Oktoberfest in Chatham

We had a client who throws this wonderful backyard Oktoberfest party year after year. This year though, she did not have time to put it together. From running around with her preschooler, teaching an art class, husband starting a new job and finding out she was pregnant, things got crazy in a hurry.

So she called in The Effortless Affair.

We wanted to take the stress of planning a 100 person event off the couple. We came up with three stations or activities for the party to keep parents and kids occupied, decor, floral arrangements and performed day of set up and management. The couple handled catering and assisted with setup for items they pull out year after year. The result was a fabulous event that her friends and neighbors will remember.

Moss Wreath

Moss wreath & Sunflower bouquet

I fashioned this moss wreath after the gigantic wreaths that hang from the tents in Munich. I love how the arbor welcomes guests in and the wreath hanging above adds a glimpse into what lies behind the door.

The Photo Booth

Harvest Photo Booth

I absolutely love this photo booth. The kids loved jumping off the hay bails and it provided such a beautiful backdrop for family photos.

The Shotski

I handcrafted this shotski for this fun loving couple. If you want to learn how to make one for your party head to my blog post.

The Pretzel Bar

Pretzel Bar

What Oktoberfest party is complete without pretzels? I made this amazing stand to show off the doughy treats and crafted pretzel necklaces for an nibble as you mingled around the party.

Doughnuts on a String

This was adorable and the kids LOVED it. I love personalizing decor or games to each client. and it was so sweet seeing it all come together.
